Ministries

We offer a variety of ways to connect with one another as a community, and we invite you to participate in any of these as a way to get to know us, yourself and God better. We also have a number of community services that you may wish to be a part of.

Youth

Sunday Youth Groups are held during the two Sunday morning services (9am & 11am) for Year 7–13.

Two Ignition Youth Groups run on Friday nights during the school term at the church: Year 7 & 8 from 6 - 7:30pm, and Year 9 - 13 from 7:30 - 9:30pm.

For more information, please view the Ignition Youth Ministries website, or contact our Youth Pastor Dion Fasi at

Children

JAM (Jesus and Me) is our programme for children (preschoolers to Year 6). JAM occurs during the Sunday morning worship services at 9am and 11am. JAM aims to encourage children to develop their faith and knowledge of Jesus through a time of fun teaching using Bible stories, drama, craft, games and song. Donna Taylor currently coordinates this programme.

Small Groups

These groups are designed to be a more intimate setting than our Sunday services, and are a great way for you and others to get to know each other better while sharing, caring and growing together in your faith. They are often hosted in the home of one of our church members. Please contact the parish office if you are interested in joining one of these groups.

Prayer

We believe that God is interested in our daily lives as individuals and as a community. God answers our prayers and wants us to be free to bring all our needs and concerns to him. We therefore provide an opportunity for prayer both as a community and for the individual.

Prayer Meetings

Prayer meetings are held in the church at 8:30am, 10:45am and 6pm for each of the Sunday services. On Fridays ‘Hour of Power’ runs from 6–7pm in the church, with a focus on youth. These are times of seeking God in prayer and being led by the Holy Spirit.

Prayer Chain

The prayer chain is requests for prayer, communicated by telephone, resulting in a chain of people praying for various need. Prayer, particularly urgent needs, can be requested. We also operate a prayer Healing Clinic at the church on Tuesday evenings from 6:30–8pm and Thursday mornings from 9:30–11am. Our prayer chain is coordinated by Beryl Baldock.

Marriage Course

This is a practical course that gives married couples the tools to build a strong and healthy marriage that lasts a lifetime. Over eight evenings spent together, couples talk about important issues that can get swept under the carpet in the rush of everyday life. Topics covered include recognising each others needs, learning to communicate effectively, resolving conflict, healing past hurts, knowing how to make each other feel loved, relating to parents and in-laws, good sex, making time for each other and having fun together. Contact the church office for information on the next course.

Mens Events

Dion Fasi organises a social time for men on the second Saturday of each month. This could take the form of breakfast (the kind men like - bacon, sausages, eggs etc) or a trip to the golf range or paintball. These will be advertised in our What's On page each month.

Ladies and Babies

This coffee group for mothers with young children meets on Fridays from 10am to 11:30am in the church hall. Contact Deborah Clark or Amy Clark for further details, or visit Ladies & Babies on Facebook.
